Stepping out of the shadows

From the inception of our quest to promote the local retailers and service providers, I decided to maintain anonymity and began our blog under the name of Evie Bean, my gorgeous little grand daughter.

Three months in and all going well but with the confusion of our naming and the restrictions of Facebook Security we have been continually blocked from extending our story to friends, which is not the ideal outcome!

From this day forth, Jenny Beer is stepping out of the shadows of Evie Bean.

I extend my gratitude to our followers and welcome the sharing of our story to all.

Fashion...   Is not something that exists in dresses only,

Fashion is in the sky, in the street,

Fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live,

what is happening.

Coco Chanel was a visionary who changed the world. She saw more in the way we live. Fashion does not just exist in clothing. Just look at our city of Griffith! Take a walk down the street, look at the way we live....

... What a fashionable city!

Coco Chanel, born 19/08/1883, raised in a French orphanage, where she learnt to sew, a skill that would lead her to her life's work. She liberated women from the constraints of corsets, opened her first store in 1920 selling hats. Later opened other stores selling clothes. In the 1920's she introduced the "Chanel Suit" and the "Little Black Dress". she died on 10/01/1971 being the only fashion designer listed on Time Magazines list of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century. 

Location, Location, Location

Considering the location of Griffith in geographical terms with the hills, running water, roundabouts and circular streets all of which greatly affect the chi (forces of nature) and Feng Shui (Chinese art of placement) of our town.

A town with a mountain or hill behind it provides a sense of protection, almost like a large tree behind a home adds a sense of protection.

Roundabouts and circular streets which Griffith is renowned for allows the energy to flow freely adding to the prosperity of our location.

Flowing water near a town such as a river or Channel is considered good fortune according to Feng shui principles.  Development of the channel system by our fore fathers not only transformed a dry barren landscape into a thriving oasis but created a wealth of prosperity for primary industry in our region.

When establishing an Innovative Start up Business it is important to make contact with as many organisations as possible to access the myriad of opportunities that have been established by Government bodies to assist Innovative Business.

Positivity 4 Progress has been networking with contacts through the Business Enterprise Centre, Smallbiz Connect, Ausindustry, The Department of Innovation, Griffith Chamber of Commerce and Griffith City Council, we are also Trade Marking our logo, Developing a Business Plan and Building our website.

We are achieving our goals using the philosophy of the great Winston Churchill while believing nothing is impossible if you have passion for your goal.

Valentines Day in Australia is a time where we share a special moment with our loved ones.

 

However Valentines Day in Finland refers to “Friends Day” which is more about remembering all friends rather than focusing solely on romance.

So this Valentines Day, why don’t we do as the Finns  do!

The main street of Griffith is a beautiful place to be with friends.
